FAQ

**Getting to Know Hawaii Arch Rentals**

**What is Hawaii Arch Rentals?**
Hawaii Arch Rentals is an Oahu-based luxury floral design house creating breathtaking arches, pillars, floral walls, bouquets, centerpieces, and aisle florals for weddings, elopements, vow renewals, and proposals, as well as bespoke floral design for corporate events, milestone celebrations, and productions across the island. Every arrangement is hand-finished in-house by our design team, so your florals feel custom to your vision from the first sketch to the final petal.

**Where does Hawaii Arch Rentals deliver on Oahu?**
We proudly serve the entire island, including Honolulu, Waikiki, Ko Olina and the Leeward Coast, the Windward side including Kaneohe and Kailua, and the North Shore including Haleiwa. Delivery, setup, styling, and breakdown are entirely included for venues within our home range of Haleiwa to Kaneohe. For venues elsewhere on the island, a distance delivery fee is calculated automatically at checkout based on your venue’s location.

**Is there a minimum order for delivery?**
Yes, our delivery minimum is $600. We are a full-service design house, and our signature and luxury installations are delivered, styled, and collected exclusively by our own team to protect the quality and presentation of every piece. A small selection of our more accessible designs are available for pickup in Laie for couples handling their own transport and setup.

**How far in advance can we book, and how far out do most couples book?**
We can accommodate bookings as close as two weeks before a ceremony when our calendar allows, though most of our couples reserve their florals within two months of their date. For peak season — spring, summer, and holiday weekends — we recommend booking as early as possible, as popular dates fill quickly.

**Who designs the florals?**
Every arrangement moves through our in-house design team, who oversee the vision, sourcing, and craftsmanship behind each installation, so what you see in our galleries is exactly what will greet you on your wedding day.

**How do I know the quality will match what I see in your photos?**
Because every installation is designed and finished by our own in-house team using the same sourced materials, what you see in our galleries and product photos is the same caliber of piece delivered to your venue — not a lower-tier version. If you have questions about a specific design’s scale, materials, or finish, our team is happy to walk through the details with you before you book.

**Micro Weddings, Elopements & Vow Renewals — What’s the Difference?**

**What is the difference between a micro wedding and an elopement?**
A micro wedding is an intentionally small, formal wedding — typically 20 guests or fewer — that still includes the traditional elements of a wedding day: a ceremony, guests, and often a reception, just at an intimate scale. An elopement, by contrast, is typically just the couple, sometimes with an officiant, photographer, and one or two witnesses, with no formal guest list at all.

**Is an elopement less “wedding” than a full ceremony?**
Not at all. Many of our most elaborate, photo-worthy floral installations are for elopements — with no guest list to plan around, couples often invest their full budget into the ceremony backdrop, styling, and photography.

**What is a vow renewal, and how is it different from a wedding?**
A vow renewal is a ceremony where an already-married couple reaffirms their commitment — often for an anniversary or milestone. There’s no legal component, which gives couples more creative freedom with structure, timing, and setting.

**Planning From Off-Island**

**We live on the mainland — how do we plan our florals without seeing them in person first?**
Most of our couples plan entirely from off-island. Our full catalog is browsable online with detailed photography of every arrangement, and our design team is available for a virtual consultation to walk through color, scale, and styling before you commit.

**We’re planning across time zones — how responsive is your team?**
We understand that planning a Hawaii wedding from thousands of miles away means you often can’t just pick up the phone during business hours. We communicate primarily through email and your checkout instructions, so you can reach us on your own schedule, and we build in enough lead time on every booking to answer questions well before your wedding day.

**Do we need to be on-island to set up our florals?**
No. Our team handles delivery, installation, styling, and breakdown independently — we simply need your venue details, an on-site contact, your ceremony time, and your preferred delivery window at checkout.

**Do you work with our wedding planner or coordinator?**
Yes. We regularly coordinate directly with wedding planners, day-of coordinators, and venue staff to align delivery and setup timing with the rest of your vendor team.

**What happens if it rains on our wedding day?**
Oahu’s tropical climate means passing showers are always a possibility, even during the sunniest seasons. Because we’re a full-service design house, we do not set up installations during sustained or heavy rain, and we ask every couple to have a rain contingency plan in place with their venue for their ceremony itself. If weather requires an adjustment to delivery timing or location, coordinate with our team through your on-site contact as early as possible so we can plan accordingly. Please review our Terms and Conditions for full details on our weather policy.

**Do we need a permit for our ceremony location?**
It depends on the venue. Private estates, resorts, and botanical gardens typically handle permitting through their own venue agreements. Public beaches and state shorelines are different: the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) requires a Right-of-Entry permit for any commercial wedding activity on state shoreline land, and — importantly — DLNR does not allow arches, floral pillars, tables, chairs, or other large decorative structures to be placed within the shoreline tidal zone itself. Large floral installations on true public beach sand are extremely limited by law. If your heart is set on an oceanfront look, we recommend a resort lawn, beach park, or private oceanview venue set back from the state shoreline, where these restrictions don’t apply — we’re happy to help you think through options that achieve the same view without the legal restrictions.

**What if our wedding is postponed or cancelled?**
Cancellation, postponement, and payment terms are outlined in full in our Terms and Conditions, which every couple agrees to at checkout. We recommend reviewing them closely before booking and reaching out with any questions.

**Do we need wedding insurance?**
We don’t require it, but we strongly recommend that every couple carry event or wedding insurance for their ceremony. It’s an inexpensive safeguard that protects your investment across all of your vendors, not just florals, and your wedding planner or venue can often point you toward an affordable policy if you don’t already have one.

**Venues We Know Well**

**What types of venues do you deliver to?**
We deliver to oceanfront and beach-adjacent ceremony sites, garden and botanical venues, private estates, resort properties, ranches, and intimate residential settings across Oahu.

**Do you have experience with specific Oahu wedding venues?**
Yes. Our team has delivered and styled florals at many of the island’s most sought-after ceremony settings, including Kualoa Ranch, LouLu Palm Estate, Ko’olau Ballroom, Kealohi Point, The Ritz-Carlton at Turtle Bay, Queen Kapiolani Hotel, Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute, Kailana Chapel, Sunset Ranch, the Hawaii Polo Club, and Hanalani Gardens, along with resort ballrooms, garden lawns, and private estates across the island. We understand each venue’s vendor access windows, layout, and styling opportunities, so setup runs smoothly on your day.

**Do you deliver to resort properties, or only private venues?**
Both. Many resorts have their own outside-vendor policies and load-in procedures, so we recommend confirming your resort’s guidelines early — we’re glad to coordinate directly with their events team.

**We haven’t chosen a venue yet — can you help us think it through?**
While venue booking isn’t part of our floral service, we’ve styled ceremonies across nearly every type of setting on Oahu — oceanfront, garden, ranch, resort lawn, and private estate — and we’re happy to share what we’ve learned about how each setting photographs, how florals read against different backdrops, and what to expect logistically.

**Our Florals**

**What makes your florals different from traditional wedding flowers?**
Our arrangements are crafted from luxury permanent botanicals, many of them real-touch or 3D-printed florals, engineered to capture every detail of a fresh bloom, from the texture of a garden rose to the natural color variation of an anthurium, without ever wilting, browning, or fading in Hawaii’s sun and salt air.

**Why choose permanent botanicals for a Hawaii wedding?**
Hawaii’s heat, humidity, and ocean breeze are unforgiving on delicate fresh blooms. Our permanent botanicals hold their form and color no matter how long your ceremony runs or how close you are to the shoreline, staying flawless from your first look through your final dance.

**Will our florals look real in photos?**
Yes. Our arrangements are curated to be visually indistinguishable from fresh flowers, both in person and on camera.

**Are your florals more sustainable than fresh flowers?**
Yes, and the impact runs deeper than most couples realize. Fresh wedding flowers are typically flown or shipped in from off-island, then refrigerated, trucked, packaged, and ultimately discarded after a single day — a chain that carries real environmental cost in fuel, cold storage, labor, and waste at every step. Our permanent botanicals are reused across many celebrations, meaning that entire supply chain only happens once, not for every wedding.

**Can your florals handle an oceanfront or garden ceremony in Hawaii’s climate?**
Absolutely. Our installations are built to hold their shape and color through direct sun, wind, and humidity.

**Our Collections & 2026 Color Trends**

**What can we rent from Hawaii Arch Rentals?**
Floral arches and pillars, floral walls, bridal bouquets, ceremony centerpieces and tablescapes, aisle flowers, curated Designer Packages, and a dedicated proposal collection.

**What wedding color palettes are trending for 2026?**
Sage and eucalyptus green paired with ivory remains the most requested combination this year, alongside champagne and warm gold for a soft, elevated look. Emerald green with gold accents is trending for couples wanting a richer, more jewel-toned palette, while dusty blue and blush continue to suit garden and oceanfront settings beautifully. We’re also seeing couples move toward simpler, two- or three-color palettes with layered texture rather than large, multi-color schemes. Our design team can help translate any of these palettes — or a fully custom one — into your florals.

**Do you offer complete packages, or can we build our own?**
Both. Our Designer Packages offer a fully curated concept; our design team also creates fully custom installations through a private consultation.

**Do you design florals for proposals?**
Yes, including a Red Rose Proposal Package, a Heart Arch, and standalone rose arrangements.

**Do you create florals for vow renewals and elopements?**
Yes, including a dedicated Engagement, Vow Renewal and Elopement Package.

**Can you match my wedding colors exactly, or only from your existing designs?**
Both options are available. Choose from our Signature Collection for a ready-to-book design in a curated palette, or work with our design team on a fully custom color match for your specific vision — note any color requests in your checkout notes or during a consultation.

**Beyond Weddings: Corporate, Milestone & Production Florals**

**Does Hawaii Arch Rentals only do weddings?**
No. While weddings are our specialty, we design florals and staged décor for corporate events, business conferences and conventions, fundraisers, milestone birthday celebrations, and other private events across Oahu.

**Do you provide florals or set décor for film and television productions?**
Yes. We work with the film and production industry on Oahu to provide floral set dressing and props for shoots requiring a polished, camera-ready aesthetic without the logistics of fresh flowers.

**Can you handle large-scale corporate or conference floral installations?**
Yes. Our design team scales installations for corporate branding events, conventions, and fundraisers, bringing the same luxury craftsmanship we bring to weddings to the business and events space.

-----

**Pricing & Reservations**

**How much does a luxury floral arch rental cost on Oahu?**
Investment varies with design, scale, and customization. Proposal-focused arrangements begin around $125, with signature pieces such as our Heart Arch reaching into the mid-fourteen-hundreds. Full ceremony arches, pillars, and complete Designer Packages are priced individually — browse our collections or reach out for a personal consultation.

**Is delivery included in the price?**
Yes, entirely inclusive of delivery, styling, and late-night breakdown for venues within Haleiwa to Kaneohe. Venues elsewhere on Oahu incur a distance fee calculated automatically at checkout.

**Do you offer a resident discount?**
Yes — the Ko’olauloa Resident Discount. Reach out to learn more.

**How do we reserve our date?**
Select your wedding date and desired arrangements, add them to your cart to secure our team for your celebration, and share your venue name and address, an on-site contact, your ceremony start time, your preferred delivery window, and your desired pickup time in the Special Instructions box at checkout.

**What time will our florals arrive and be collected?**
You’ll share your preferred delivery window and desired pickup time at checkout. Standard service includes pickup by 10:00 PM; contact us for late-night arrangements.

-----

**Ceremony to Reception**

**Can our ceremony florals be moved to our reception?**
Yes, for a $150 Relocation Fee, our team remains on-site through your ceremony and transitions your arrangements during cocktail hour, so your sweetheart table, cake display, or head table carries the same lush, oversized beauty from your ceremony without a separate décor budget.

**Sustainability & Giving Back**

**Is Hawaii Arch Rentals an eco-conscious company?**
Yes. Our reusable permanent botanicals eliminate the recurring fuel, refrigeration, packaging, and labor costs tied to fresh-cut flower supply chains, and giving back to the islands we call home is woven into everything we do.

**How does Hawaii Arch Rentals give back to Hawaii?**
We support regenerative efforts across the islands, including awareness around threats like the invasive Coconut Rhinoceros Beetle, which endangers the native niu — Hawaii’s iconic Tree of Life.
